Coming from someone who is constantly battling with tangled and dull tresses I can assure you I’m always on the lookout for any sort of ‘holy grail’ hair products that will give my lack-luster locks a bit more.. oomph! Fortunately for my hair (and my sanity) Boo Bamboo creates the ultimate hair products with revitalizing and restoring formulas to give your hair that perfect makeover you’ve been lusting over.
The Hair Strengthening Shampoo should be first on your list of ‘must try’ items. It claims to help strengthen the hair follicle and retain moisture to help promote shine and vitality- I can definitely say I stand by that statement! Being a thin-haired gal, I’m constantly battling with shampoos that weigh down my hair and add product build up rather than actually cleansing it. (Never mind adding strength and moisture as well!) After lathering this baby up I definitely noticed a difference in the strength of my hair, it didn’t feel as brittle and, well, wimpy as before! Not to mention the scent of it was perfect, it didn’t smell like chemicals, but it also wasn’t over-powering-ly scented with florals or fruits either; just a simple, natural fresh scent to help relax my troubles away.
In conjunction with the Strengthening Shampoo, The Strengthen and Shine Conditoner is wonderfully formulated with rich minerals, organic proteins, and extracts of bamboo to sooth your sexy tresses into a luscious sheet of satin. Rose, one of my favorite scents, is a perfect match for irritated, itchy red skin. Its natural healing properties helps calm and relax angry skin with its natural moisturizing properties. I apply the Rose Therapeutic Hydrosol whenever my skin is feeling extra dry, and after it soaks in the skin on my face feels instantly renewed and refreshed! This will definitely come in handy during the cold and winter months for those who have already dry skin!

Do you ever look longingly at those commercials made for those beautiful, expensive spas (what an understatement..) where a beautiful lady is getting a facial, with creams that look as smooth as butter and exfoliators that seem like they were made fresh just for her? Yeah, me too. However, lucky for us beautiful ladies who just can’t afford their own signature exfoliator, there is a luxurious solution waiting to be discovered.
Solay Wellness. A beautiful company made for beautiful women just like you! Their affordable spa-experience products are vegan, natural and handcrafted in small batches to help give you the healthy, happy skin you deserve. Because of their wide range of products, you’re able to come up with the perfect formula of a relaxing, at-home spa day.
One of my favorite ways to relax in a tub full of bubbles starts off with the Gentle Face Scrub. Mixed with the most luxurious ingredients of small organic jojoba beads, calcium bentonite clay, and a moisture enriched organic base, gives this luxury a beautifully rich, earthy scent. I massage this gentle blend in a small circular motion to already cleansed, warm skin (to help open up your pores). After about 3 or so minutes of gentle scrubbing I wash it off with a few splashes of warm water. My skin instantly feels refreshed and revitalized, like I have a whole new set of skin on!
Next, I grab my Detoxifying Mud Mask- a product that is enough to make me swoon. It has a deep, natural scent that instantly puts me into relaxation mode. I gently rub this creamy mask all over my face and mask, not missing a single spot. The texture is so creamy and smooth, I swear I could just keep applying, re-applying, applying, re-applying… you get the picture. I like to leave this on for about 10-15 minutes- if I could I would live with it on, but that would just be silly (and a little unsanitary).
After rinsing thoroughly I’m quick to grab the Organic Face Lotion. You thought those lotions on the commercials looked creamy? This is utterly divine. It smells fresh and feels even fresher. I gently massage this buttery delight (theoretical vegan butter of course) all over my face. I specifically love this lotion because of its light feel- it doesn’t make your skin appear or feel like grease (and I don’t mean the good John Travolta variety)
All in all, Solay Wellness is a company of virtue. Their products are high quality, and their values of natural, vegan organic, and handmade assets are a huge bonus! I really recommend checking out their website, and taking a snoop through their other luxurious products!

If you’re a thin haired-gal (or guy!) you will know the hardships and struggles of finding products that give your hair the volume it lacks without weighing it down. I have unfortunately tried countless products that promised to give my hair ‘extreme volume’ or a ‘weightless lift’. Well, such as life, their promises were broken. My bathroom soon became home of products that just couldn’t serve my hair the purpose it needed.
However, when I tried Morrocco Method (a 100% vegan company!!) my precious locks were opened to a whole new world of volume. The Sapphire Volumizer Mist is a 100% natural, moisturizing formula perfect for the days where your hair is looking extra limp and needs to be quickly revived to life. All you have to do is simply spritz it on to wet or dry hair, and style it as usual- Easy peasy! It leaves your hair smelling clean and fresh, while adding that extra little kick of volume to your tresses! I specifically loved this product for lazy days at the beach, where my hair would get repeatedly flattened by both the suns rays and the waters waves (no rhyme intended…) it helped revitalize it by adding moisture and kept the frizzies down in just a few quick sprays!

Okay, I’ll come right out and admit it- I have always been a non-believer of self-tanners. Of course this could be because of my first experience with it, when I used my sisters gradual self-tanning lotion and came out looking like a patchy orange blob. (Okay.. I was only ten, but still!) Ever since then I’ve always thought of self-tanners as my nemesis. (Hence my ghostly appearance during the winter time)
However, after trying the Dr. Dennis Gross Glow Pads, anti-aging, exfoliating self tanning towelettes, my pasty skin has been history. Although I have to tell you, my first time using this product wasn’t the best, and it definitely wasn’t the products fault! Being the stubborn non-believer that I am, I applied the product to my legs…with my PJ pants rolled up halfway. I know- you’re probably thinking “whatta dummy” and it’s true, because the product worked like a dream!
To apply the Glow Pads its as simple as taking one of the individually packaged towelettes and applying it in an even, circular motion to wherever you need it (be sure to wash your hands right after). If you want to achieve a darker color, simply use another towelette! However, after only one towelette on each leg there was definitely a noticeable difference in my ‘before and after’ skin color.
I absoloutely love the concept of these products because you don’t have to worry about using an un-even amount of product for each area. It’s as simple as grabbing the same amount of towellets! I should also add after realzing how good the products worked, I went back and did the part of my legs I ‘missed’. To my suprise even through I slightly overlapped the areas it still gave my skin an even, natural looking glow!
I highly, highly suggest Dr. Dennis Gross Skin Care Products! These self-tanners are definitely something I would feel confident enough to use to help bronze me up for my high-school graduation. Have you ever seen a trend and thought to yourself, “What is the point of that?” (Ed Hardy anyone?) Well that was my exact reaction when I first learned about toners. For those of you who don’t know, toner is meant to even out the color of your skin, AKA, tone it. In attempt to get rid of the blotchy redness on my face, I tried toner after toner, after toner, and after many empty bottles and wasted cotton pads later, I felt like throwing my hands in the air and giving up. Each and every toner I tried just felt like I was putting water on my face, and my somach couldn’t help but feel queasy about the thought of wasting my money on something so… ridiculous!
Fortunately, my knight in shining armour came at just the right moment. Liz Earles Instant Boost Skin Tonic- my hero! (Check out my review for Liz Earles Hot Cloth Cleanser!) The scent of the toner was my first indication that it was different than all of the others I tried. It smelt fresh, and clean… like it was actually meant to do something for my skin!
I applied this beauty day and night to cleansed skin with a cotton pad. After a short period of time I noticed a huge difference in my skin! The toner not only helped my patchy red skin reach an even color (a task I had desired to be completed for years), but it also helped visibly remove excess makeup that a cleanser just can’t get. In turn, my skin appeared clearer, smoother, and a heck of a lot cleaner!
I’m proud to say I use Liz Earle’s Instant Skin Boost Tonic Toner in conjunction with Liz Earles Hot Cloth Cleanser, and Skin Repair Light Moisturizer- which is a whole other review in itself ;) I cannot stress enough of how much I recommend checking out Liz Earle products!
