I don’t know about you, but when Christmas season rolls around I’m like a little kid in a candy shop! I love everything about it- from pastries to Christmas trees, if it has something to do with Jolly Ol’ Saint Nick you know I’ll dig it!
So, whats on my cruelty-free-Christmas-‘To-do’ list this year?
I like to feed my festive spirits a box full of deliciously decorated short bread cookies!! I’m talking, ultimate-melt-in-your-mouth-buttery bites of Heaven! Check out this basic recipe to master your cookie skills! (Also, to make to-die-for sugar cookies, opt for white sugar instead of confectioners, and wa-la! Although I have to tell you.. I didn’t learn that tip on purpose!)
Next on my list: Did you say decorations? Nothing says Christmas more than a cozy home full of Christmas spirit! A tree full of decorations, warm lights, and a couple of snowman ornaments will do the trick. Or, you can set your imagination loose with these fun and original Christmas decorations!
Christmas Caroling may be for the musically gifted, but hey, nobody said I had to sound good in my home! I love to glide through the holiday season with a couple of good wintery tunes- preferably the oldies! From Bing Crosby to Michael Buble, you name it, it’s probably playing in my house from November to December! (Okay, okay.. January)
And of course, no winter season is complete without a bit of snowman building, snow fort sculpting, big ol’ face-full-of-snow-ball fighting! So get your groove on (aka: your snowpants) and get rollin’ in the snow. ( Hey if it can’t be dough’…)
Chilly from your flash-frozen escapades? I love to snuggle on my couch with a cup of warm hot chocolate, a swirl of candy-cane, and the perfect touch of cinnamon to warm up my frozen fingers!
Last but not least, I set my Christmas mood with all of those I love! Nothing gets me in the spirit better than having a good laugh with my family and friends! :)
Merry Christmas season everyone!! <3
